1.1 Who we are

Zaqii ("we", "us") provides a personal life-administration assistant app. We are the data controller for your personal data. Controller: Zaqii Technologies Ltd (company no. 17301035), Flat 1, Academy House, 9–11 Ongar Road, Brentwood, Essex, CM15 9AU. ICO registration no. 00014572197.

1.2 What we collect

Account data: name, email, password (hashed).

Content you add: tasks, documents, bills, debts, finances, vehicles, shopping, travel, career info, household members.

Special category data (only with your explicit consent): health data (metrics, medications, medical records) and religious/faith data (chosen tradition, observances).

Financial data: if you connect a bank via our open-banking provider, account balances and transactions (read-only).

Connected services: if you connect Google (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), data you authorise us to read.

Usage data: device, app interactions, diagnostics.

1.3 Why and lawful basis

• Provide the service: performance of contract.
• Health & faith features: explicit consent (withdraw any time).
• Open-banking data: explicit consent, processed by a regulated AISP.
• Service improvement & security: legitimate interests.
• Marketing: consent (opt-in).

1.4 AI processing

Some features use AI models to summarise documents, interpret reports, generate drafts and estimates. AI outputs are estimates and may be inaccurate. AI requests are routed through Zaqii's own server-side gateway, and the providers we use are OpenAI and Anthropic. Health and faith information is only included in an AI request where you have given explicit consent for that category, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. We do not use your private data to train third-party public models without consent.

1.5 Sharing & subprocessors

We share data only with processors who help run the app, under contract: Base44 (hosting/app platform), TrueLayer (open-banking AISP, if you connect a bank), Google (if you connect Gmail/Calendar), Anthropic (AI processing), OpenAI (AI processing), Resend (outbound email — daily briefs and notifications), and Stripe (payment processing). We never sell your data.

1.6 Storage & retention

Application data is stored in the UK/EU. When you use an AI feature, the relevant content is sent to our AI providers, who may process it outside the UK, including in the United States. These transfers are covered by the appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law. We keep data while your account is active and delete it within 30 days of account closure, unless law requires longer.

1.7 Your rights (UK GDPR)

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability (export), objection, and to withdraw consent. Email hello@zaqii.app. You can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

1.8 Security

Encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, MFA, audit logging, and a breach-response process.

1.9 Children

Zaqii is intended for users aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from under-18s.
